Services provided
To guarantee the competitiveness of companies trying to succeed (and also survive) in today's global competitive environment it is necessary to monitor research and development and to implement new findings and technologies into their products and services. The demand of industry for innovations on the one hand and the pressure to commercialise the results from their own research and development on the other has led to the institutionalisation and professionalisation of the technology transfer process. Technology transfer is a process of transferring findings enabling the innovation of products and services and as a rule takes place between two entities - the provider of the technology and the recipient of the technology. The intermediary for the transfer of technology between these entities is the Centre for Technology Transfer (CTT), which a part of the Business Incubator and the Science and Technology Park.

The activities of the CTT encompass:
  • consulting in the area of intellectual property protection
  • patent research
  • identification of demand for new technologies and sourcing of commercial partners
  • organisation of targeted joint research and development projects with commercial entities
  • holding seminars about the transfer of technologies
