The Technology Innovation Centre Ltd. operator of the Business Innovation Centre Zlín, Agency for Economic Development of the Vsetín District operator of the Business Incubator Maštaliska, Regional Centre for Cooperation operator of the Science and Technology Park Slavičín and the Business Centre of Valašské Klobouky District preparing a project for a Business Incubator jointly signed a cooperation agreement, whereby they confirmed their interest in participating in joint activities and projects in the area of business innovation support in the Zlín Region. On signing of the agreement a network of business incubators, science and technology parks and technology transfer centres was created as the first regional network in the Czech Republic. Among pilot projects, which will be implemented within the framework of the created network, is the extension of the Micro-loan programme of the Regional Support Fund for all the members of the network, preparation and implementation of the Innovation Portal in the Zlín Region or the preparation of joint projects into selected Operational Programmes with the objective of supporting innovation and innovative thinking. These activities are contained in the Action Plan of the Regional Innovation Strategy of the Zlín Region, which will together with the strategy be approved in January 2008.
