The production company Sp2 was established in 2005 through the combination of several close media activities of a group of independent individuals - artists, producers and programmers. The strongest pillar of the company is its own animated marionette film studio in Zlín. The studio's staff comprises of individuals, who across a wide age range guarantee a link to the traditional Czech school of animation and at the same time follow and participate in the development of new trends in this technology.

The business plan of Sp2, which is executed in the Business Incubator, is focused namely on the development, production, presentation and distribution of audio-visual projects using standard and the most advanced technologies. Media and film technologies - namely 3D animation - are constantly being developed. The major development trends have an impact for example in the field of the construction of marionettes and scenes, surface treatments, but also in camera and recording technology, or as the case may be in the distribution, project and in the post production chains, which to a major degree influence the final audio-visual experience.

Zlín Net is building a metropolitan optical fibre network in Zlín, which will connect the cities of Zlín and Otrokovice. The optical fibre network is intended primarily for telecommunications operators, who can use it to provide voice and data services.
